Making a memorial donation of any size to the Kankakee County Historical Society is a great way to honor someone in the community. Donating a portion of your estate to a non-profit organization such as the Kankakee County Historical Society can be a way to leave a legacy and support an organization that has special meaning to you. If you are in the process of completing or updating your estate documents, please consider making a bequest to the Kankakee County Historical Society.

Give a Gift ‑ Make a Difference
In preserving Kankakee County history, we survive on membership dues and donations. We receive a small amount of tax money from the Kankakee Valley Park District which pays for the wages of one and a half of our six staff members – the rest is up to us. We sit on KVPD land and have a wonderful Museum campus. We are growing due to our volunteer help and innovative ideas to raise funds. Without your support, we could not preserve the county’s history.
